Obviously you know this cracks me up, being rodents and all. My buddy and his dad met his brother at his house in Utah. His brother was in Iraq for an extended period and they arrived to find a full on invasion of the house in progress. The waged war that followed yielded 21 mice killed in myriad ways. A USDA Forest Service law enforcement officer was fatally shot Friday at the Ocmulgee Bluff Equestrian Recreation Area on the Oconee Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest in Jasper County. The officer, Christopher Arby Upton, 37, of Monroe, Ga., was on routine patrol in the area about 11 p.m. Two individuals were hunting coyote with a high-powered rifle equipped with night vision and apparently mistook the officer for game. After the shooting, the hunters dialed 911 and reported a hunting incident.

Two Watts Bar duck hunters are probably dreading their day in court after wildlife officers say they caught them duck hunting over bait, using illegal ammunition and hunting without appropriate licenses. Officers say the two men also had a case of beer in their blind. Officer Matt Majors says it was last Saturday when he and Officer Philip Earhart headed out on routine patrol to check duck hunters on Watts Bar Lake. He says shortly after daylight they noticed ducks working near a permanent blind built just upstream from Watts Bar Dam.
