Charlie Lowery is an experienced hunter and outdoorsman. Living in Athens, Tenn, he spends his working life raising money for waterfowl conservation as a Regional Director for Ducks Unlimited. Of course that means he's spent lots of time in a duck blind. Not quite so much chasing wild turkeys. That might change however as Lowery recently took his first longbeard. He shared his well-written tale with Chattanoogan.com Outdoors. Enjoy! I got my first ever long beard at my Dads farm! Here is how it unfolded for me. I got up at 3:00 a.m, drove 1 ½ hours.... walked in with no lights all the way to the roost. Sat there for 1 hour before the sun came up.
